You Are In A Room With Three Light Switches

This is a simple problem.

You are in a room with three light switches.

You are outside the room and the door is closed. You may manipulate the switches as you wish but once you open the door you can t change them. You need to determine which switch controls which bulb. Identify each switch with its bulb.

Call the switches 1 2 and 3. The three switches control three light bulbs in another room. All lights are off to begin and you can t see into one room from the other. The door is closed and you cannot see if the light is on or off through the door.

Each switch operates a different light bulb in the room. Turn switch 2 on for five minutes and then turn it off. From here you can t see the light and it makes no sound. The door to the room is closed and you cannot see the light bulbs from the hallway.

You have a set of 3 light switches outside a closed door. Turn switch 3 on. You are standing outside a room next to three switches all of which are off. There is another room down the hallway with 3 light bulbs all are incandescent light bulbs and each light bulb is operated by one of the switches in the hallway.

If a bulb is on it s controlled by switch 3. The room door is closed so you cannot see which switch operates which bulb. You can inspect the other room only once. You cannot see the whether the light is on or off from.

How can you find out which switches are connected to which. Each light is connected to one of three switches outside of the room. The bulb that is off and cold is controlled by switch 1. You are only allowed to go into the room once.

You are allowed one and only one trip to the other room at which time you have to determine which switch controls which bulb. Outside of the closet there are three light switches. You re in a room with three light switches each of which controls one of three light bulbs in the next room. However you know the light is off to start.

There is a room with a door closed and three light bulbs. Do it the electrical engineering way and put a video camera in the room and wait 15 minutes before flipping each switch. But once you ve opened the door you may no longer touch a switch. Determine which switch operates which bulb.
